More About Counselling
Counselling is a talking therapy that involves a qualified counsellor listening to you and helping you find ways to deal with emotional issues.
At every session you will be encouraged to talk about your feelings and emotions, your counsellor will listen and support you without judging and offering you unconditional positive regard. The skills used by the counsellor during each session will be adapted to suit your needs.
Counselling can help you gain a better understanding of your feelings and thought processes until find your own solutions. This actualising will bring you to a positive place in your life being better able to manage.
You may just need Six single sessions of counselling, a short course of 12 sessions.
We offer a 'check-in' at week 5 and/or 11 to ensure you are on the right track and receiving the best service.
You can choose how to schedule your sessions over a few weeks or months.
It can take a number of sessions before you start to see progress, but you should gradually start to feel better with the help and support.
